This piece is Publisher’s Proof # 38 of 50 (regular ed. 500) hand-painted character cel set-ups.  In this scene, “Breakfast for Two”, Belle and Beast lift bowls to toast each other. The approximate size to the cel is 11 x 15 in.  The original animation drawings were transferred to cels by a six step process, then enhanced with hand-inked lines and then hand painted. The background has been recreated by Disney artists from the original background.
