This piece is #1 of a limited edition of 250 cel set-up, recreated by Disney artists from Sleeping Beauty.  In this scene, “Dance in the Clouds”, although they have united to help Prince Phillip defeat Maleficent and break Sleeping Beauty’s spell, the good fairies Flora and Merryweather still can’t agree on the appropriate color for Princess Aurora’s gown. The approximate size of the cel is 11 X 29 3/4 in.. The cel was recreated from the animator’s original line drawings for the film, and was hand-inked and hand-painted, by the artists of the Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department.  The background has been recreated using only 1/2 of the actual production background.  Production designer, Eyvind Earle, has signed each piece, but is not the artist on the piece.
