This piece is a limited edition of 500 hand- painted character cel set-ups from the making of The Lion King.  In this scene, Pumba and Timon teach lion cub Simba a song about their trouble-free philosophy of life, “hakuna Matata” The approximate size of the cel is 11 1/2 in X 15 3/4 in.  The artists have recreated this cel using the original animation drawings transferred to acetate cels by a six-step process.  The background scene was recreated using the original background as reference.
