This piece is #23 of 50 Publisher’s Proofs (regular ed.—500) from Disney’s classic Bambi.  This scene, “Kinda Wobbly”,depicts the scene in which after Bambi falls for the third time, Thumper remarks, “kinda wobbly aren’t cha”. Recreated by Disney artists using traditional animation techniques of transferring original animation drawings to acetate cels by a six-step process. Then they hand-paint each cel and apply it to a background which was reproduced using original background paintings, sketches and frames from the film as references.
