This piece is #1 of a Limited Edition of 500 hand-painted cels from Disney’s classic, The Hunchback of Norte Dame.  “Quasimodo and Clopin”, recreates Clopin, King of the Gypsies, proclaims to the carousing Parisians that the bell ringer of Notre Dame, has been crowned “King of the Fools”.  The approximate size of the cel is 10 3/4 X 15 1/2 in.. The cels were created from the animator’s original line drawings for the film by the artists of the Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department.  The background is recreated from a digital file of the original hand-painted background used in the released version of the animated film.
