This piece is a Limited Edition, Hors de Commerce, number 1 of 25 hand-painted character cels.  This recreated cel set-up “Sunset Romance”: Aladdin and Jasmine sit against the backdrop of a fiery sunset as they share their thoughts on being “trapped”.  Recreated by Disney artists using traditional animation techniques of transferring original animation drawings to acetate cels by a six-step process. Then they hand-paint each cel and apply it to a reproduction of the original background used in the film.  The approximate size to the cel is 10 X 16 ¼  in.
