This piece is #1 of 25 Hors de Commerce limited edition xerographic-line, ink-enhanced, hand-painted character cel set-ups from the making of Pocahontas.  In this scene, “Two Worlds”, John Smith places his hand against Pocahontas’ hand mirroring the Indian sign for hello.  The approximate size of the cel is 10 1/2 X 15 3/4 in..  The original animation drawings were transferred to acetate by a six-step process.  The background scene was recreated using the original background as reference.
