This piece is a limited Edition of 500 xerographic-line, ink enhanced, hand painted character cel set-ups from the making of The Lion King. In this scene, “A New Pride”, with the evil Scar defeated and the pride lands safe once more, Timon, Pumbaa, Zazu, and Nala join the Lion King, Simba, as he surveys his domain from the summit of Pride Rock. The approximate size to the cel is 12 3/4 x 17 3/4 in. The original animation drawings were transferred o acetate cels by a six step process. The background scene was recreated using the original background as a reference.
