This piece is a sericel, which is an image that has been recreated from a classic film or is newly designed for the collector’s market. To produce a sericel, the image is hand inked and hand painted onto a master cel from which the serigrapher creates the sericel. This is of Tinkerbell from the film, Peter Pan. The Approximate size of the sericel is 3 3/4 in. X 5 3/4 in.. This sericel had an edition size of 5000.

This piece is an original animation Model Cel, created by Disney artists from the film, The Little Mermaid. In the Cel are images of Ariel, Scuttle, Sebastian, Flounder and Ursula with bubbles around them. Image size: Ariel 7in., Scuttle 3 1/2 in., Sebastian 3 1/4 in., Flounder 2 3/4 in., and Ursula 6 1/2 in.. The approximate size of the cel is 13in X 16in.. First the animator’s pencil drawings are transferred with a special xerographic transfer process, then it is hand-painted onto acetate by the artists of the Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department.
